Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)
The Warwickshire Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) is a statutory process led by the Health and Wellbeing Board that provides a comprehensive analysis of the current and future health and wellbeing needs of the local population.
It serves as a vital evidence base to inform the planning, commissioning, and delivery of health, social care, and wellbeing services across the county.
The JSNA brings together insights from a wide range of stakeholders, including local authorities, NHS partners, voluntary organisations, and communities, to identify key priorities and inequalities.
Over time, Warwickshire’s JSNA has evolved from thematic assessments to a place-based approach, profiling needs across 22 local geographics, and has now returned to thematic assessments focusing on specific population groups and issues such as mental health, healthy ageing, and learning disabilities. Information about Warwickshire’s population is also available through the JSNA site.
By aligning services with the JSNA findings, providers can ensure their work is responsive to local needs, supports strategic priorities, and contributes to improved outcomes for Warwickshire residents.
