Impact: The Local Government Graduate Programme

Warwickshire County Council is excited to be part of Impact: The Local Government Graduate Programme run by the Local Government Association (LGA) to ready graduates who have the potential to be senior leaders for the first step in their careers. 

We will be there to support you all the way. You will have regular team meetings, 121’s with your line manager, a buddy and assigned a mentor who will be an Executive Director from our Corporate Board.

Engineering 

Warwickshire County Council’s Degree Apprenticeship is a great way to earn while building your Engineering career; with our support you will work towards a BEng Civil Engineering Degree with our partners at the University of Warwick.

Working for the local authority will enable you to develop technical, managerial and commercial skills through the varied work experience offered by our programme of civil engineering infrastructure projects.

Social Work with Children and Families

Children and Families provides a wide range of social care services to families, with positions suitable for newly qualified social workers in most of our teams. 

Recently graded as ‘good’ by Ofsted, it is a great place to start your career with a well structured ASYE Academy programme for newly qualified social workers and a career pathway enabling development and progression through to senior roles in the service.
