Hatters Space - Youth centres

Hatters Space is a Warwickshire County Council establishment, administered through its Early Intervention Service.

Its purpose is to provide safe and appropriate facilities which are available for hire by local agencies, groups and individuals within the objectives of the Early Intervention Service.

There are a variety of local agencies/organisations who have come to use us on a regular basis as a venue for their training events, or delivery of their services.

• Agencies/Organisations from further afield are referred to us as a venue for occasional use.
• Departments and workers from within W.C.C arrange events and meetings at the centre.
• Local groups book up space for their regular activities.
• Individuals may use us for single events.

Also on site is Abbey Children's Centre and The Health Store.

Facilities at the Centre

• The centre is open six days a week, normally open from 9am until 9pm (some flexibility).
• Please contact us for more information regarding room hire.
• The centre is a single storey and has wheelchair access to all facilities. Communal facilities include kitchen, lockers, toilets, shower, reception and meeting area.
• We have our own car park, with space for 50 cars. We also have 6 designated disabled spaces situated near the front door of the centre.
• We have a coffee lounge available for hire.
• We have a smaller workshop/craft room, which is adaptable to a variety of uses (training, craft, music).
• There is a small, cosier room, holding up to four people. This is particularly useful for one-to-one work.
• The kitchen is a shared facility.

Catering and refreshments

• Refreshments (self-service tea/coffee/fruit juice/mineral water/biscuits) can be provided in house. Rate available on request.
• Buffets can be arranged by Hatters, using a local caterer. There is a handling charge for this service.
• Groups are welcome to bring their own catering.
• The kitchen is available for groups to make their own refreshments if they bring their own ingredients.

Hatters Space Community Centre is based a short distance from Nuneaton town centre. We have parking facilities available at the centre.

We are located just 500m from Nuneaton Bus Station and 700m from Nuneaton Railway Station.

From railway station

1. Go straight ahead from the front of the station. Pass the Railway Tavern on your right.
2. After another 50m, you come to the inner ring road.
3. Turn right and approach a roundabout. Across the road on the left is the Bus Station.
4. Carry on, passed the Fire Station on your right.
5. Turn right at the next roundabout ('dandelion' fountain in the middle) along Corporation Street, but cross over at the pedestrian lights so you are on the left-hand side.
6. After 100m, take a first left turn on a back street called Friary Street.
7. After 100m, you come to Upper Abbey Street, with Hatters facing you.
8. Entrance is slightly on your left.

From bus station

1. Walk from the bus station, away from the shopping area.
2. There will be a multi-storey car park on your left; followed by a roundabout, which is the inner ring road (all within the bus station).
3. With the roundabout on your right, use the pedestrian lights to cross the inner ring road.
4. Turn to your left and now you are approaching the Fire Station. (Stage 4 From Railway Station).
