CDs and DVDs - A to Z of recycling

CDs and DVDs can all be re-used once you have finished with them:

• Take them to your nearest charity shop or a local jumble sale
• Offer the items on Freegle or Freecycle
• Hang CD’s in your vegetable garden to scare away birds.

Unwanted items in good condition can be offered for re-use or taken to the re-use shop at your local Household Waste Recycling Centre, or even sold using sites such as Amazon and Zapper.co.uk or swapped on bookcrossing.com.

Old CDs and DVDs that are not fit for re-use can be disposed of at your local Household Waste Recycling Centre, in the hard plastics container, where available.

Your local music shop may know of other recycling schemes available.
