Warwickshire County Council (WCC) is pleased to announce the Small Capital Grant programme is now available to micro and small businesses for the 2025/26 financial year. The funding is part of a package of business loans and grants agreed by the County Council.
What’s Available?
£500,000 will be made available to support eligible capital projects, with grants from £2,500 up to £50,000.
Eligibility is restricted to businesses that are actively or have previously been engaged in one of WCC’s Business Growth Warwickshire (BGW) business support programmes, since October 2023.
Also, only businesses in the following priority sectors are eligible to apply:
- Automotive & Future Mobility & Manufacturing
- Digital Creative including Technology businesses
- Visitor Economy (Tourism, Leisure & Hospitality)
- Rural Economy (rural industries excluding farm production).
Key Details
- Applicants must have a minimum of 24 months demonstratable trading history.
- A Small Capital Grant will contribute to eligible capital costs of up to 40%. Applicants will be expected to provide match funding.
- Applicants must demonstrate significant growth potential.
How to prepare
Businesses interested in applying for the scheme will be offered assistance directly from their Business Growth Warwickshire (BGW) business advisor.
If a clear need for a grant has been identified as part of the Business Growth Warwickshire (BGW) support, the partner will then make a referral.
