Warwickshire County Council is pleased to announce that the Small Capital Grant programme is now open for applications. The funding is part of a package of business loans and grants agreed by the county council.
What’s Available?
£500,000 will be made available to support eligible capital projects, with grants from £2,500 up to £50,000.
Eligibility is restricted to micro and small businesses that were previously engaged on one of WCC’s Business Growth Warwickshire business support programmes between October 2023 and March 2026, or those who are now engaged on one of the specialist programmes delivered as part of the Warwickshire Business Growth Service since 1 April 2026. Businesses must also be in one of the following sectors.
Also, only businesses in the following priority sectors are eligible to apply:
- Automotive & Future Mobility & Manufacturing
- Digital Creative including Technology businesses
- Visitor Economy (Tourism, Leisure & Hospitality)
- Rural Economy (rural industries excluding farm production).
Key details
- Applicants must have a minimum of 24 months demonstrable trading history.
- A Small Capital Grant will contribute to eligible capital costs of up to 40%. Applicants will be expected to provide match funding.
- Applicants must demonstrate significant growth potential.
How to prepare
Businesses interested in applying to the scheme will be offered assistance by their business advisor on one of the specialist programmes delivered as part of the Warwickshire Business Growth Service.
If a clear need for a grant has been identified as part of the support, your advisor will then make a referral on your behalf.
