What is the Local Access Forum?
The following meeting has been cancelled: Thursday 26 March 2020 at 7pm in Committee Room 2, Shire Hall, Warwick.
In view of the coronavirus and the need to avoid meetings at the current time, the Forum will look to reconvene in the autumn. Details to follow.
The Local Access Forum (LAF) exists to advise the Appointing Authorities and other organisations on the improvement of public access to the countryside and public rights of way – both rural and urban – for the purpose of open-air recreation and enjoyment of the area.
LAFs are established under sections 94 and 95 of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 and are governed by The Local Access Forums (England) Regulations 2007.
Meetings of the Forum are open to the public and time is allowed for public questions. For more information, please contact the Forum secretary.
All LAF meetings are held at Shire Hall, Warwick, CV34 4RL unless stated otherwise.
