Warwickshire County Council is celebrating National Customer Service Week 2018 (NCSW18), using the chance to show those living and working in the county some of the ways they are working for Warwickshire. NCSW18 is a week long opportunity to raise awareness of customer service and the vital role it plays in successful business practice and the growth of the UK economy. It takes place in the first full week of October each year.
The council’s Customer Service Centre answers around 300,000 calls per year across a variety of different services ranging from from Social Care & Support through to pothole reporting. The council’s website also gives residents the chance to self-serve online for many services, including applications for self-serve online for many services, including renewing library books 24/7 and blue badges. The council has held the Customer Service Excellence Standard since March 2014.
Throughout the week look out for the hashtag #NCSW18 to follow what is happening.
Councillor Kam Kaur, Portfolio Holder for Customer & Transformation said: “We are proud of the work we do to make Warwickshire the best it can be, and effectively supporting and listening to customers is a big part of that. We are using this week to show our residents a snapshot of some of this work, but we also want to hear their thoughts. We always want people to tell us what is right, what is wrong and how we can make it better.
“We have different ways for people to contact us online, over the phone and face-to-face, meaning that we can help people in a way that works for them. I’m pleased that we will be putting a spotlight on some of the amazing things people do when working for Warwickshire.”
