If you are an agency (eg NHS, care provider, local authority or social care practitioner) who work with people across Warwickshire, have you considered fire safety?

Things to consider include no working smoke alarms, the person not being able to hear their smoke alarms, not being able to evacuate in the event of a fire or not understanding what to do in the event of a fire, smoking, hoarded or cluttered environments, emollient cream users, medical oxygen users, dynamic air flow equipment users.

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service offer Safe and Well visits to promote fire safety in the home. This is a person-centred approach to fire safety, identifying risks and working to reduce hazards in the home. As well as smoke alarms, we have a range of additional equipment which can be supplied following assessment from our Prevention Team.

We also offer fire safety awareness sessions to partner agencies. This is a free 1.5 hour session which enables you to understand the importance of fire safety within the home, hazards to look out for and our referral process for Safe and Well visits.

To find out more about our Safe and Well visits, fire safety awareness sessions and/or to request a referral form, please contact us using the details in the Contact Us section of this page
