Your library PIN

What is your PIN?

If you are a member of the library, you have a library PIN. It is one of the following:

  • the first four letters of your surname (or less if your name is shorter), if you joined the library before the 21st of September 2007 or;
  • your date of birth using 8 digits (dd/mm/yyyy) if you joined on or after the 21st of September 2007 or;
  • a combination of numbers and / or letters that you have specified.

Use your PIN to:

  • use a library computer
  • book a computer online
  • check your account
  • request items from the library catalogue
  • borrow e-books.

Why have a PIN?

Your library PIN gives you extra security when you access your borrower account. It helps prevent others finding your personal details and misusing your membership.
