  • Planning enforcement powers

    As a local planning authority, our enforcement powers are set out in the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, as amended by the Planning and Compensation Act 1991.

  • Environmental sustainability policy

    We have developed an environmental sustainability policy documenting our commitment to the environment. Each of our directorates has a small environmental implementation group who – as well as carrying out their day-to-day jobs – help to implement environmental improvements.
