Sustainable Warwickshire

Encouraging more walking or cycling to the workplace has lots of advantages for everyone involved. It can help reduce congestion and parking issues around places of work, improve mental and physical health and wellbeing, and reduce carbon emissions from car journeys.  

If you’re a business based in Warwickshire, you can sign up to a Safe and Active Workplace Programme from Warwickshire County Council. This gives you free, dedicated support to help you build your own Active Travel Plan, which will encourage your employees to make more sustainable and active travel choices.  

Subject to availability, we will also host a variety of free active travel events for your employees, which will encourage them to be more active on their journeys to and from work.  

The events can include: 

• Dr. Bike (basic bike repair and guidance) 
• Security bike markings 
• Bike training sessions – both 1-2-1 and group sessions 
• Route planning 
• Bicycle Buddies, Bicycle User Group support (BUGs), Walking User Group support (WUGs), Liftshare 
• Workplace Champion support
