Women’s Tour

Welcome to Warwickshire – the ‘Spectator Stage’

This summer is all about cycling in Warwickshire, as The Women’s Tour is returning to the county on Friday 15th June 2018.

Warwickshire will be hosting Stage 3 of the Tour this year. This means elite cyclists such as Lizzie Deignan and reigning Women’s Tour champion Kasia Niewiadoma, will be racing the roads of the county once again!

An OVO Energy Women’s Tour first: Stage 3 of the 2018 race will virtually retrace the entire route used in the respective stage 12 months earlier – a 151 kilometre leg from Atherstone to Royal Leamington Spa.

The Warwickshire stage of the race will again be the longest of the entire tour, although the distance did little to deter attacks in 2017. Only half the field made it to Royal Leamington Spa in the same times as winner Chloe Hosking did in 2016, making this a crucial stage in the fight for the OVO Energy Green Jersey.
