In response to the current Covid-19 situation, emergency and expedient works to maintain the safety of the public highway are being prioritised, and will be carried out by our contractors following current social distancing guidelines where possible.
Licences for temporary structures and skips will continue to be issued, all street café licences have been suspended in line with current Government directive.
Temporary bus changes
As a result of the ongoing situation surrounding Covid-19, most bus services are now operating to amended timetables. Please check with individual operators before travelling. Passengers should only be using public transport if their journey is absolutely essential.
Free bus passes
From Wednesday 10 June, bus pass holders will no longer be able to travel free before 9am.
Free travel starting within Warwickshire will be according to our normal terms and conditions:
- Warwickshire passholders can travel free from 9am until midnight and all day at weekends and on bank holidays.
- Passholders from other areas in England can travel from 9.30am until 11pm on weekdays and all day at weekends and on bank holidays
If you do need to travel by bus make sure you plan your journey, try to avoid travelling at busy times, and observe social distancing both on board the bus and whilst waiting at the bus stop. If you have to use public transport you must wear a face covering. You should keep your distance from other passengers, clean your hands frequently and use contactless payment. If possible, carry a hand sanitiser with you.
Stratford Park and Ride
In response to the coronavirus situation, Stratford Park and Ride bus service will cease operation on Friday 27 March until further notice. The car park will remain open as normal but the terminal building is closed. Users of rail services from Stratford Parkway are advised to check for details of impacts on rail services.
