The Get Set to Go programme aims to improve the lives of everyone with a mental health illness in South Warwickshire, (Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa and Rugby) North Warwickshire and Nuneaton. With support from Sport England and the National Lottery, Springfield Mind are able to offer access to sport and physical activity. This is a free service for participants to access.

There is no referral process so you can self-refer if you would like to build physical activity into your daily routine. To self-refer please get in contact with the Get Set to Go coordinators - contact details can be found below.

What does it involve?

The format of Get Set to Go is:

  1. Various taster sessions will be delivered across South Warwickshire, North Warwickshire and Nuneaton. For example, paddleboarding, badminton, table tennis, pilates, walking netball and more have been delivered previously.
  2. The popular taster sessions are then turned into a 12-week programme for participants to attend. For example, Thai Chi has been delivered in the past.
  3. On completion of the 12-week programme, participants will be encouraged to continue participation in activity.

What to expect

When participants are referred, the Get Set to Go Coordinator will get in contact either by phone or email to have a chat to see what activity may be of interest and to answer any questions they may have. Information will be given to individuals regarding the session they choose to attend.
