Businesses and Media

We would like to see as many Warwickshire businesses as possible get involved in the OVO Women’s Tour.

There are lots of ways you could do this. If your business is located near to the route, you could encourage your employees to go out and cheer the riders on as they go past. See the route details with the estimated times that the peloton will be going past.

Local Events

Find out about local events near your business and help support these through your community engagement programme.

Decorate your shop window

If you are a business along the route and have a visible frontage to the road, why not decorate a bike or a bike wheel to display in your window or at the front of your premises.

Follow the Tour

You could follow the Tour by putting a map of the five-stage race on the wall and pick a team to support, maybe have a sweepstake for the winning team/ Yellow Jersey winner and so on.

Cycle to Work

Have a cycle to work day to encourage colleagues to ditch the car and get active. Colleagues could buddy up and find a safe route to journey to the office. Reward those who do with a goody bag!

Social Media

Please promote any activities you undertake on social media and use the hashtags #OVOWT and #CycleToTown. Warwickshire County Council and Sweetspot, the Tour organisers, are really keen to promote local events and activities taking place in support of the Women’s Tour, so shout about your activities, however large or small!

How will the race impact on your business?

If your business is located along or near to the route, you may need to consider whether access to your business premises is affected, for staff or visitors. The race will start at 10.30am in Warwick and finish at around 2.30pm at Burton Dassett Hills Country Park. Look at the route map and the table of estimated times that the race will pass through each area to find out if you need to plan for any delays.

The 2019 OVO Women’s Tour is set to be bigger and better than ever as Britain’s biggest women’s cycling event continues to grow increasing the number of days the ladies cycle. Detailed information on how you can follow the race on television on ITV4 in the UK and around the world will be available shortly.
