Children and family centres

Your local children and family centre are offering a virtual timetable of activities and family support workers continue to offer telephone advice and support. To find out more about what is available, check out their facebook page or contact your local children and family centre.

Group Positive Parenting Programme (Triple P)

An 8-week programme available free of charge through Warwickshire County Council for any parent/carer with children aged 0 to 12 years of age. Groups are small, usually 8-10 parent/carers and are made up of people who all want the same thing - to do the best for their children and enjoy a happy family life. There are four 2-hour sessions held weekly, followed by three weekly phone calls which provide an opportunity to discuss any concerns and progress, followed by a final group session.

Held across the county, you can find out when the next course is available by booking onto a parenting course or contacting your local Children and Family Centre.

Online Positive Parenting Programme (Triple P)

An online programme of 8 modules provided free of charge for families in Warwickshire with children aged 0-12. The programme can be completed at your own pace and can help with encouraging good behaviour, managing misbehaviour and tantrums, support teaching your child new skills and help to take the stress out of shopping.

Warwickshire Adult and Community Learning

Warwickshire Adult and Community Learning offer a range of small group online sessions for parents within their Family Learning section.

Hungry Little Minds

This site contains lots of ideas and activities to share with your baby and child from 0 - 5 to help them bond and learn about the world around them. Find out more. This website also provides a search facility for activities in your local area which will take you back to our Children and Families page. Further information on local activities in Warwickshire can be found from the Children and Family Centres.

The site also lists a range of apps you can use with your 2 to 5-year-olds. Click on the 'Apps and Information' button.

Parents Together

A free online course run by Family Lives consisting of six interactive modules filled with helpful techniques and ideas to support you become a more confident and happy parent. The modules are aimed at parents and carers of children up to five years but would also benefit parents/carers of children up to eight years. There is no time limit to complete the course; you can complete at your own pace. Note: this course requires Internet Explorer or Google Chrome to run. It will not run on iPads or mobiles using Safari.

Care for the Family – Time Out for Parents

Care for the Family offer a range of parenting courses to support you and to help you build a strong and secure relationship with your child, whatever their age. They are run in community venues around the country and are usually made up of six 2-hour sessions, led by trained facilitators.
