Marle Hall is a residential outdoor education centre ideally situated for outdoor activities and environmental studies on the North Wales coast, close to the Snowdonia National park.
The centre is set within 35 acres of woodland, much of which is a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) with some rare species of plant. From the top of the woods there are panoramic views over the Conwy Estuary, the Great Orme, Snowdonia National Park and Anglesey.
We run on a non-profit making basis, to provide high quality outdoor learning opportunities to young people and adults, through a variety of programmes for groups and individuals. All enquiries are welcomed.
Marle Hall has over 100 beds for residential courses, but can also cater for day visitors. We have very experienced staff who will tailor courses to suit you and your desired learning outcomes.
Opportunities include learning outside the classroom for schools, either through adventurous outdoor activities or environmental studies; youth programmes; team building and management training; National Governing Body Awards; social events and family gatherings. We also hire out rooms for conferences, corporate training and weddings.
We consider our three main strengths to be:
- Our friendly, welcoming and experienced staff: From our very experienced and highly qualified tutorial staff, working in partnership with visiting group leaders to provide challenging and stimulating experiences to meet specific aims and outcomes and bring the curriculum to life, through to the supportive, friendly and accommodating kitchen, domestic and other support staff - everyone at Marle Hall works as a team to make your stay with us a special and memorable one
- A wonderful location: North Wales boasts a great diversity of environmental study sites and a wonderful playground for 'real adventures' in the real outdoors. We are well located for access to all that the coastline and Snowdonia mountains have to offer. All this is within easy driving distance from the centre, and we are only one mile from a mainline railway station
- Experiential learning and personal and social development: From the first experience away from home to management team building, we give people real responsibility for themselves, their actions and each other. At the end of a course everyone will know what it takes to co-operate within a team and what it takes to face a challenge.
