Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF)
The Department for Education (DfE) has made funding available for families whose children are in receipt of benefits tested free school meals. The funding means that these children can access activities for 4 hours per day, for 4 days per week for 4 weeks of the summer holidays.
Activity providers who are taking part in the HAF programme are identified by 'HAF' after their title.
Families of all eligible children will receive information soon detailing how they can access these activities at no cost. They may access up to 4 days of activities for 4 weeks of the summer holidays for each eligible child.
If your child has additional needs please talk to individual providers in the first instance as they may be able to meet the needs of your child(ren) with adjustments. It is possible for providers to access additional funding to provide support if they are aware of the needs in advance of attendance.
If your child is not eligible for benefits tested free school meals but you wish your child to join an activity accessible under HAF, please contact the provider directly for costs.
If you have received your HAF code please go to Summer holiday activities to find holiday activities in your area. Once you have chosen the activity you would like to attend follow the link to book direct with providers.
If you do not receive free school meals but you are receiving pupil premium, you have an allocated social worker or family support worker, you are on an early help, child in need or child protection plan, you are a child in care or a young carer. Please contact email@example.com to see if you are eligible for a code.
Each provision will have a limited number of places and these must be booked directly with the individual service. Warwickshire County Council is unable to guarantee a place at a specific provider.
If your child is not currently in receipt of benefits tested free school meals and you think they will be eligible, you can make a Free School Meals Application.
