Integrated Disability Service - Teaching and Learning
Welcome to the Integrated Disability Service: Teaching & Learning (formerly DISCS) Webpages

The Integrated Disability Service (Teaching & Learning) is a Warwickshire Local Authority Support Service for Children, Young People, Families, Early Years' Settings and Schools. We support the inclusion of children and young people with a range of needs.

Although it is primarily the responsibility of Schools and Early Years' Settings to make provision to meet the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, we provide additional expertise and support to supplement their work. We provide a range of teaching and support strategies designed to promote curriculum access and achievement, ensure progression and foster the greatest possible independence.

We have nine specialist teams of Teachers, Teaching Assistants, Child Development Advisers, Childcare Co-ordinators and Midday Supervisors, working in the following areas:
  • Autism
  • Birth to 3 Family Support Service
  • Pre- school
  • SEN Childcare Team
  • Hearing Loss
  • Children with severe and complex needs
  • Physical Disability
  • Specific Language Disorders
  • Visual Impairment
