TravelWise

TheTravelWise campaign brings together around 160 public sector organisations, including councils, health authorities and Government advisory groups, which work together to promote alternative ways to travel.

The National TravelWise Association merged with the Association for Commuter Transport on 1st January 2008.

The main aims of the Warwickshire TravelWise Campaign are:

  • To raise awareness of the environmental, economic and social effects of travelling by foot, bike and public transport.
  • To encourage socially responsible car use.
  • To promote more sustainable modes of travel, and lifestyles which require less travel.
  • To increase the number of walkers, cyclists, public transport users and car sharers.

Travel Plans

A travel plan is a package of measures developed to encourage sustainable travel. They can be developed by employers for their staff or by schools or a group of schools for pupils. Please click on the links below to find out more:
