The way in which priority areas are described can be confusing. If you are unsure as to which priority area your address falls within or you reside on the boundary of a priority area and wish to have clarification, please contact the Admissions Service.
If you are moving into Warwickshire, you must provide proof of your new address by 17 February 2012. If the Admissions Service does not receive sufficient proof by this date, your original address must be used for admissions purposes.
If you are intending to move home during the application/allocation period or wish the school offer to be based on a future house move (to take place prior to September 2012), you will need to provide proof of the new address by 17 February 2012 in order for it to be considered. If the move is related to a purchase, proof should be in the form of a letter from your solicitor confirming the exchange of contracts and completion date. For a rental, proof should be a copy of a rental agreement for at least six months, signed by both the tenant and the landlord.
Please note that unless the written evidence provided proves, to the satisfaction of the Authority, that you have moved or will move to the address that you indicate, we will not be able to consider your application from your new address. Please talk with the Admissions Service about your specific case.
If a child lives at more than one address, the address that will be considered is where the child spends the majority of their school nights. Where the care is split equally between parents/carers, you must nominate one address for the purpose of allocating school places. Only one address can be considered as your child’s main residence.
Please note that an address used for before and after school child care arrangements will not be considered.
The Schools Adjudicator has agreed the proposed changes to the priority areas for six schools in Rugby.
The schools affected are:
The individual priority areas for these schools have now been merged to create one large shared area. Therefore, if you live within this area, you are in the priority area for all of the above schools when you apply for a school place for Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1 or Year 2).
There is also an additional area for Key Stage 2 (Year 3, 4, 5 and 6) which is shared with the above schools and Oakfield Primary School.
The new single priority are would incorporate the separate priority areas of Bawnmore Infant, Bilton Infant, Bilton Junior, Cawston Grange, Henry Hinde Infant and Henry Hinde Junior Schools.
The area is bounded by and includes the Western Relief Road south of the Sow Brook, along the eastern extent of the Dunchurch Parish Boundary, bounded in the south by a line drawn to the south of the Cawston Farm (house) and Cawston House but excluding Fox Covert, to Alwyn Road. Northampton Lane, Dunchurch Road (even numbers) to its junction with Overslade Lane. Overslade Lane, Lytham Road (west side), May Lane, Gilbert Avenue and Addison Road, to Sow Brook along the Western Relief Road. Incorporates the Cawston Grange Estate, Cawston village, the Admirals, Brookfield and Beechcroft Estates.
