Pannissimo - Youth Steel Orchestra

Pannissimo is a group of around 12 players who perform a stunning variety of music ranging from original works, calypso and traditional West Indian classics to modern pop, musicals and classical pieces.
Pannissimo has already gained a great reputation based upon performances at Fetes and Festivals up and down the County; it has taken part in the Regional Auditions of the Festival of Music for Youth and performed at events as diverse as the Warwickshire Women's Institute 80th Anniversary and the Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations in Stratford-upon-Avon. In July 2010 Pannissimo travelled to Vienna on an exciting concert tour.
Pannissimo is directed by Kali Mattu, a County Music Service teacher, with many years experience in this field; he is supported by Nicola Braimbridge who also teaches for CMS.
Membership and joining information
Admission is by audition. Candidates should be between the ages of 14 and 21 (applications from younger, able children will be considered if appropriate) and of a standard equivalent to that of the County Music Service Area Steel Orchestra level.
