Access to the site
For safety reasons, no public pedestrian access is allowed through the entrance or exit gates at any of our household waste recycling centres. However, if you do not have access to a vehicle, and would like to visit a site on foot, arrangements can be made by calling Waste Management on 01926 412593 at least 24 hours in advance or 48 hours in advance of a weekend. A charity reuse shop run by Age UK Warwickshire can be found at Lower House Farm. All proceeds from the sale of materials from the shop go directly to the charity. This site accepts the following materials from households
Asbestos, Batteries, Car Batteries, Cardboard, Carpet, Cartons, Mixed textiles and clothes, Electrical , Fluorescent tubes, Fridges and Freezers, Garden waste, Mixed glass bottles and jars, Hardcore and rubble, Hard plastics, Household and garden chemicals, Household waste, Mobile phones, Paint for disposal and re-use, Paper, Plasterboard, Plastic bottles, Printer cartridges, Scrap metal, Shoes, Soil, Telephone Directories, TV’s and monitors, Used engine oil, Wood and timber.

Household and garden chemicals
Lower House Farm is licensed to receive household / garden chemicals and paint however, you must complete a chemical waste form in order to do this. Please visit our chemical waste page for more information on how to dispose of garden/household chemicals and paint safely.

Information on managing and disposing of commercial and chargeable household waste. Commercial waste services are available to small businesses at this recycling centre.
Restrictions are in place at all of Warwickshire’s recycling centres and restrict vehicles such as vans, pick-ups, trailers and large 4×4’s.

For safety reasons pedestrian access is not permitted at any of the recycling centres. However if you do not have access to a vehicle please call the waste management team on 01926 412593 where arrangements may be able to be made (48 hours notice required).
In order to recycle as much as possible, black bags may be opened by staff and you may be asked to sort and recycle any mixed bags of rubbish. Please remember to pre-sort your rubbish before visiting and place all items in the correct containers. Please co-operate with staff and ask for assistance if required.
