Kingsbury Water Park Outdoor Education Centre

Kingsbury Water Park Outdoor Education Centre is a purpose built non-residential centre situated within the 600 acre site of Kingsbury Water Park. We offer diverse programmes designed to enthuse, develop and inspire young people and adults to learn in an adventurous environment.

Our courses promote independence of thought, teamwork, development of new skills and challenge. Many of the centre’s activities are accessible by groups with physical and/or learning difficulties, providing a sense of achievement and inclusion.

The centre operates full day, half day, after school, evening and weekend programmes and can thus be open for activities from Monday to Sunday, 9:00am to 9:30pm.

On-site activities include kayaking, climbing, improvised rafting, open canoeing, abseiling, team building, sailing, off-road cycling, archery, wind surfing and orienteering.

Off-site activities (additional charges apply) include mountain biking, gorge walking, caving, hill walking, rock climbing and mountaineering.

Booking

Our minimum group size for a booking is 8 people. Please try to make your provisional booking with us at least six weeks in advance of your intended visit, this will give you time to send invites and receive replies so that you can inform us of the exact numbers attending on the day. Call or email the centre with a date in mind, and we will add a provisional booking to our system. We will then send an email back with the details given and an estimated cost for your records.

The centre aims to offer tailored programmes for the following groups /organisations:

  • Primary and Secondary Schools;
  • Special Schools;
  • Further Education Colleges;
  • Youth Groups;
  • Voluntary Organisations;
  • Corporate Learning and Development;
  • Adult groups;
  • National Award Courses (BCU, RYA, NNAS);
  • Education Based Outdoor Learning (Outdoor Activities for D of E, GCSE-PE, NCFE and BTEC);
  • Children's Parties;
  • Family Groups;

Group booking form (pdf, 730Kb) - please complete and fax/post the form to us with the exact numbers attending, along with cheque payment to 'Warwickshire County Council' for the full amount required a month prior to your visit.

Medical Consent Form (pdf, 64Kb) - please fill in and either post with cheque payment, or hand in on the day to the centre reception. On the 'to' and 'from' section at the top of the first page of this form, please could you input the 31st March of the following year. This will cover the child on the form for all consequent visits for the rest of the current year. Please ensure you also fill in and sign the third page, which covers the consent to administer medical treatment.

Kingsbury Outdoor Education Centre is located next to the water park. Only 10 minutes drive from M42 Junction 10, it's ideal for a memorable day of fun and activities.

Marle Hall
