Family learning
Family learning programmes cover family literacy, language and numeracy skills, along with wider family learning. We encourage families to learn together.
Courses encourage learning across generations and, wherever possible, lead both adults and children to pursue further learning. Families, adults and children with a range of relationships can participate together.
Please contact us to arrange a course or if you have any other questions.

Family learning programmes
Family learning programmes help adults and children learn together or enable parents/carers to learn how to support their children’s learning. They aim to:
- develop the skills or knowledge of both the adults and children; and
- help parents/carers to be more active in the support of their children’s learning.
Family literacy, language and numeracy programmes
Family literacy, language and numeracy programmes aim to:
- improve the literacy, language and numeracy skills of parents;
- improve parents’ ability to help their children; and
- improve children’s acquisition of literacy, language and numeracy.
All family learning programmes allow parents/careers and children to have fun whilst at the same time learn in a non-threatening way. Family learning programmes are free, however contributions can be made for Crèche and teacher costs.
