Nicholas Chamberlaine Almshouses

Bedworth, Nuneaton and Bedworth

The magnificent 1840 Nicholas Chamberlaine Almshouses are named after a 17th Century rector who left money in his Will for the original Almshouses (that were on another site opposite the Civic Hall) to be built.
-
The buildings today continue to provide the care they were originally set up to do all those years ago. They continue to be on the public register of social landlords and look after residents in 27 sheltered housing apartments in the almshouses.
