Summer fun for young people in Warwickshire

Monday 26th July, 2010

"
We’ve been working really hard to ensure that young people have something to do, somewhere to go and someone to listen, and we believe our summer programme goes someway to achieving that.
"
Peter Hatcher, County Youth Officer
A summer of fun is on offer for young people in Warwickshire during the school holidays thanks to the county council’s Youth and Community Service.

With help of a range of partners, a number of exciting activities have been arranged for 10 to 19-year-olds across the county over the six-week break.

Multi-sports, cooking, jewellery-making, street dance, computer games and day trips are just some of examples of what’s on offer to young people, depending on the location. Full details are available at www.warwickshire.gov.uk/youthandcommunity.

Peter Hatcher, County Youth Officer, said: “We hope this programme will keep 10 to 19-year-olds entertained during the school break, giving them the opportunity to do something they may not otherwise be able to do.

“We’ve been working really hard to ensure that young people have something to do, somewhere to go and someone to listen, and we believe our summer programme goes someway to achieving that.”
