Situated on the banks of the River Avon, this is one of England's most beautiful parish churches. Dating from 1210 it is also Stratford's oldest building.

Within the stunning 15th century chancel visitors can visit the grave of William Shakespeare grave along with those of his wife, Anne Hathaway's, his daughter Susanna and her husband Dr John Hall.

The font in which he was baptised as a baby is also on display, along with a first edition King James' bible from 1611.

Many come to see the fine 15th Century Misericords and to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful church and churchyard.

Entrance is free. A small donation is requested from those who wish to visit Shakespeare's Tomb.
