The Malt Shovel Inn is situated conveniently off J12 of the M40 – we are only two minutes from the slip road – making us the perfect break in your journey, a place to stop for a business lunch, or just a great pub to come for some home cooked food and welcoming atmosphere.
You can get a drink and Choose from 5 real ales, eat a snack or three-course meal at lunchtime or in the evening, seven days a week. We have a restaurant, a welcoming bar, and a unique ‘stage’ area where you can relax on a comfy sofa below a stained glass window. Be warned, you won’t want to leave!

Our seasonal menu is available from 12pm to 2pm and 6.30pm to 9pm, seven days a week, lunchtime and evening – with a few extras available on Sunday lunchtimes.
