Real ales, fine wines, superb food and a warm welcome await you from your hosts Sarah and Lisa at The Red Lion.
Originally built as a coaching inn in 1748, The Red Lion has seen many changes over the years, yet still retains the charm and character of a country pub. Since taking over as managers in 2004, together with our staff, we have created a unique ambience with a smart, contemporary feel.
The newly refurbished interior retains an old world charm with log fires, stone walls and oak beams.
Food
Here at The Red Lion we are proud to offer a variety of delicious, freshly prepared dishes using mainly local and regional produce. Many of our regular diners tell us that they return so frequently because they share our passion for good food. They love the quality and range of produce and above all the consistency of our cooking. So why not try our Cod and Chips served on 'The Red Lion Times', or our succulent Steak and Hook Norton Pie.
