Integrated Disability Service

The Integrated Disability Service (IDS) brings together professionals from Education, Connexions,Health and Social Care to provide a range of services to support children and young people with additional needs and their families / carers at home,school and in other settings.

One contact opens the door to specialist staff teams from:

  • Connexions Special Advisers

  • Child Development Service
  • Key Working

Our Services

IDS continues to provide the majority of its services to schools free of charge and access to our regular TA training and support sessions remains. For enhanced support you can purchase our subscription.

IDS Subscription

We can customise our services to meet your SEN and Disability requirements and support you to ensure children and young people with Autism, sensory difficulties, physical disabilities, speech and language disorders or other complex needs are ready to learn.

By subscribing to IDS, you will benefi t from one free whole school training session and a 30% discount on our buy-as-you-need rates

Our services, provided by appropriately qualified specialist staff, include:

  • Offering advice and guidance on all your SEN and Disability matters combined with ongoing coaching or mentoring as requested.
  • Recommending reasonable adjustments to the curriculum and school environment.
  • Undertaking appropriate baseline assessments and contributing to classroom assessments as appropriate.
  • Facilitating Person Centred Transition Reviews and support for transition to adulthood.
  • Facilitating Independent Travel for Young People aged 14–19.
  • Flexible Learning Programme for Young People with ASD aged 14–19.
  • Providing access to centrally held resources which can be used for the support of pupils and staff.
