What does the Educational Recording Agency (ERA) Licence cover?
(Copyright Service)

The Educational Recording Agency Licence allows schools to record programme broadcasts that have been made from television and radio programmes for teaching purposes. These can be used for repeat showing and can form part of a school’s resources. You will still need to hold a current ERA licence to watch recordings made in a previous year.

You must also purchase this licence if you use electronic communication of licensed recordings such as BBC iplayer in school.
