CMSPlusArts

CMSPlusArts is a new service from County Music that will support the vision in your school. CMSPlusArts is able to supply a wide variety of exciting artists who can work in your school delivering everything from one off workshops to ongoing projects supporting the curriculum and your school improvement plan. CMSPlusArts can guarantee artists who are CRB checked and able to deliver exciting and stimulating activities that you will be very happy with.

What we can offer

Steel Pans

  • Lively Caribbean activity for groups of up to 12 at a time.
  • Additional charge for supplying pans.
  • Best for KS2 and older due to size of pans – although mini pans for KS1 are available.

Samba

  • Latin American energy for up to 30. Ideal for outdoors where possible.
  • Additional charge for supplying instruments if required.
  • Suits all ages.

Djembe

  • Very popular African drumming workshops for up to 30.
  • Additional charge for supplying instruments if required
  • Best for year 2 up due to size of drums

Indian Music

  • Workshop presentation of full range of Indian instruments and their origins.
  • Hands on approach for all ages.

Indian Music and Art

  • Exciting fusion of Indian music and art – best suited to half day or full day.
  • All ages

Indian Dance

  • Very invigorating sessions in Bollywood or traditional styles.
  • All ages

African Music and Dance

  • Fusion of the excitement of African dance and music.
  • All ages

Chinese Lion Dance and Tai Chi

  • Colourful and dynamic.
  • All ages and includes Lion costumes.

Circus Skills

  • Full range of active skills including tight rope walking.
  • All ages

Chinese Calligraphy

  • Fascinating insight into ancient culture to suit year 2 up.
  • A quieter activity!

Story Telling

  • Stories to suit and complement a range of styles and cultures - can incorporate music and movement.
  • All ages but ideal for kS1 and KS2.

Visual Arts

  • Artist specialising in 3-D sculpture and large scale installations.
  • Works best with ½ or full day sessions

Choral

  • Energetic sessions on a range of topics and cultures including foreign language.
  • Class or whole school - can develop into large scale choral festivals.

The majority of artists are available for anything from 45 minute workshops right through to all day or ongoing projects/tuition over a term or a whole year.

Most of our artists are costed at £250 per artist per day although this can vary. PlusArts will negotiate on your behalf to get you the best possible value for money.
