Road closures affecting bus services

The news items on this page refer only to those temporary road closures that have been notified to us and are expected to affect normal operation of bus services. They are listed chronologically according to the date of the road closure. Contact the Publicity Team on 01926 412987 for advice. The items are divided between those affecting Stagecoach bus services, Travel De Courcey bus services and other operators services which are listed individually.

British Waterways are reconstructing the canal bridge on Brinklow Road between Brinklow and Easenhall for 3 months from a date to be determined in April 2012. The start date will be posted here when it is known. Service 585 will not be able to serve Easenhall or Town Thorns during this time, and a free ''on demand'' taxi service has been put in place to transport people from Easenhall and Town Thorns ( or travelling to these places ) to and from Harborough Magna to meet the bus there.

The taxi is to be operated by Fone A Car of Rugby, and passengers wishing to use the service should call them on either 01788 543333 or 01788 333333 in advance to book their taxi.

There are some timing revisions to the 585 to compensate for their extended journey round the diversion. Full details are on the Travel De Courcey website. The operator will be putting posters on their buses, and the taxi contact details on their website.

The Arriva bus service 115 will be unable to serve Hurley village on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 February 2012. The County Council has arranged for Arriva to operate a shuttle service between the village and Wood End to connect with service 115. Please see details below:-
