Annual Monitoring Report

The Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) is one of the portfolio of planning documents within the Minerals and Waste Development Framework (MWDF). It is a statutory requirement, following the commencement of Part 2 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act (2004).

The AMR will review progress on the emerging Local Development Documents against the Minerals and Waste Development Scheme and assess the extent to which policies in the Local Development Documents are being successfully implemented.

Whilst the new MWDF is being developed, the AMR will continue to monitor the existing ‘saved’ policies from the Local Plans for minerals and waste. However, rather than attempt to monitor every policy within these ‘saved’ plans, we have taken the approach of reporting on the main objectives of the saved plans and on those policies which are emerging as relevant for the new Development Plan Documents.
