Waste that is produced in the course of work on land used for agriculture is classified as agricultural waste.
It must be produced on a ‘farm’ and have been produced in the course of ‘farming’.
In May 2006, agricultural waste became a controlled waste. The waste now has to be managed according to the Waste Management (England and Wales) Regulations 2006 (known as the Agricultural Waste Regulations). The regulations state how agricultural waste should be stored and disposed of and whether it can still be used on a farm.
Warwickshire County Council does not provide any services for the collection, treatment or disposal of agricultural waste.
