Facing the Challenge - Adult social care

Facing the Challenge - Adult Care (pdf, 845Kb)

Warwickshire County Council is facing an unprecedented financial challenge over the next three years.

In adult social care alone we will need to close a spending gap of at least £20 million by 2014 which means we will have to take some difficult decisions. However, by doing things differently and transforming our services we believe we can support more people to lead independent lives and continue to protect the vulnerable.

Our vision is to ensure people can maximise all opportunities to live independently. Where people need care they have this delivered in the most personalised and cost effective way.

The Adult Social Care edition of Facing the Challenge gives further details about our transformation plans for delivering the vision for adult social care and describes our direction of travel for the future.

Feedback from customers

As we continue the transformation of adult social care and look to the 2012/13 financial year we will continue to gather customers’ views. You can raise issues regarding social care and health at your local community forum. To find out about your local forum or to raise an item at a future meeting please telephone 01926 412053 or email: localities@warwickshire.gov.uk
