National Driver Improvement Scheme

The Driver Imrovement Scheme is used by Warwickshire Police as an alternative to prosecution for drivers who may have committed some minor motoring offences on confirmation that they are eligiable to undertake the course and agree to pay the fee of £180.
Warwickshire County Council's Road Safety Unit are the course providers using specially trained, approved driving instructors. Courses are provided in Warwick and Nuneaton.

The one and a half day course includes classroom sessions and on-the-road training, vehicles are provided. It aims to improve the driving skills, attitudes and behaviour of those taking part.
