You can expect a non judgemental workshop designed to identify and challenge the causes of speeding, delivered by instructors from the Warwickshire County Council Road Safety Unit. What we expect from you? Satisfactory completion of the workshop which invovles:
There is no test, providing you satisfactorily complete the workshop you will be advised that no further action will be taken on this occasion. However, you will not be given the opportunity to attend another of these workshops within three years. How many people will be on the workshop? There may be up to twenty people on a workshop. How and when do I have to pay for the workshop? Full payment must accompany the workshop booking form supplied Payment can be made by any one of the following methods: Cheque, Postal Order, most credit/debit cards Where will the workshop be held? The workshop will take place at one of the approved County Council venues in Warwickshire. Full directions and maps will be sent with your workshop offer When will the workshop be held? Workshops are conducted Monday to Friday during normal working hours How long will the workshop last The course duration will be 4 hours Are refreshments and meals available? Liquid refreshments and biscuits will be available What about my driving licence? Please do NOT send us your licence. Bring it along with you on the day for identification purposes What will happen to my conditional offer? Your conditional offer will be suspended by us on receipt of the workshop booking form and cancelled upon successful completion of the workshop. What other advantages are there to taking the workshop? By successfully completing a Speed Awareness workshop you will avoid the 3 penalty points on your licence. Insurance companies require you to inform them of any changes to your details. Failure to do so could invalidate any claim you wish to make. Your insurance company may view a driver who has committed a road traffic offence as a high risk policy holder and consequenty increase the insurance premium. |
