EDS is a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) organisation passionately committed to growing and retaining a high-quality workforce to meet all the aims of Every Child Matters. Our objective is to help sustain and build capacity in order to:
- Raise standards of attainment and achievement
- Enhance the learning opportunities of children in a broad and balanced curriculum
- Promote inclusion
We focus on the most effective ways to develop the skills, abilities and knowledge of the whole workforce in schools, governors, the Children’s Service and other organisations by offering advice, coaching, training and facilitation. We believe that our service is only effective if it works in partnership and acknowledges customer priorities. We offer the opportunity for lively professional debate, creative problem solving and very practical strategies. EDS training is provided through a programme of courses, conferences and events. We also provide school-based commissions which can be tailored to meet the specific requests of the school (or cluster of schools). Our CPD programme is updated every year to respond to the ever-changing local and national education agenda.
