Practical ways of involving children, young people and families in decision making

This resource has been developed from the work of a small sub group of the Children & Young People's County Participation Group. Over 40 organisations with representation from the voluntary sector, departments of county and district councils & agencies working with schools form this group. The group that aims to bring people together to share practice and information about how we include young people, children and their families in influencing the decisions made by services and organisations that aim to respond to their needs.

We hope that you find this resource helpful in setting the scene about the importance of involving people in decisions, providing useful contacts for you to gain further information, and providing some examples of things that have worked for organisations in Warwickshire. The examples of good practice can never be exhausted so please record those that work for you and send them to us.
