We have around 100 school crossing patrols in Warwickshire, but we are always recruiting new patrols and standby patrols.
- Rates of pay begin at £6.80 per hour.
- Full pay for all Bank Holidays and teacher training days.
- Uniform and training provided.
- Term-time only in the mornings and afternoons.

Job Description
Rate of pay: £6.73 (relief Patrols also get mileage allowance)
Department: Environment & Economy
Team: Road Safety Unit
Reporting to: Road Safety Group Manager
Post objective: To ensure the safety of children and adults crossing the road at a designated point bewteen specified times.
Key responsibilities:
1. Assess the speed and flow of traffic.
2. Make a judgement as to when it is safe to stop traffic.
3. To instruct children/adults as to when it is safe to cross the road.
4. To risk assess the site they operate every time they are on duty.
5. To operate within national and local guidelines as identified in the School Crossing Patrol handbook.
6. To report any incidents/issues to Area Supervisor.
7. To maintain control over children/adults who are waiting to cross. |
