Overview
Warwickshire prides itself on its academic excellence and first class education, research and training facilities. There are two nationally recognised universities in the Warwickshire area, and a number of further education institutions.


University of Warwick

The University offers a range of services to business, from training and professional development to support for research and development. The University campus has a wide range of conference, hospitality and other facilities available, and is home to Warwick Arts Centre and Warwick Music Centre.

Coventry University

Coventry University is proud of its long-standing industrial tradition, associated research activity and continues to develop a reputation for research designed to secure innovative solutions to real-world problems.



Originally focussed on the needs of major multinational automotive companies such as Jaguar, Rolls Royce, Land Rover, Ferrari and Ford, the University’s portfolio has diversified as its expertise continues to expand.

The range of activity spans almost every subject area ranging from art to design, health to sports, regeneration to human security and mathematics to engineering and computing. The University applies its expertise to tackle simple or complex problems for its partners in business, industry and commerce.

The University’s emphasis on enterprise even runs through the way it is re-shaping the campus. Over the next few years, the University is spending £160m to provide first class facilities including a new Student Enterprise Building and a high-tech faculty building for Engineering and Computing.

The university is in the centre of a vibrant, multicultural city. Coventry is truly an international University with over 3000 students from almost 100 countries. It is home to over 300,000 people including a student population of 17,500. It is a city that is always reinventing itself. To compliment the University’s plans for its new campus, the City has responded by unveiling a £6 billion blueprint for a new city centre.

The University’s award-winning technology park offers specially designed programmes to help companies develop ideas into successful business ventures. Coventry University Enterprises (CUE) Ltd has an established presence on a regional, national and international level.

In addition to the two universities in the area, Warwickshire is home to several outstanding colleges, some of which have been awarded Centre of Excellence status in key areas of expertise. Colleges in the area include Warwickshire College, North Warwickshire and Hinckley College, Stratford College and King Edward VI College.
