This following page seeks to provide information about recent emergency planning issues and updates on current incidents. During major emergencies members of the public are however reminded to tune into local news, for regular broadcast information.
Warwickshire Multi Agency Pandemic Flu plan
Pandemic Influenza (Flu) is a type of influenza that occurs every few decades, and unlike the seasonal flu we see every winter in the UK, Pandemic Influenza can occur at any time of the year and would be expected to cause more serious illness and affect far more people. View the Warwickshire Multi Agency Pandemic Flu plan.
Support and information after a major incident
Following a major incident, such as a terrorist attack or large-scale natural disaster, it is often difficult to know who to turn to and where to go to for information. In the event of a major incident, the Directgov webpages will be regularly updated to give information about the incident, including who to contact for immediate help and support.
WRVS - Volunteers needed
WRVS provide a range of services to help people in need who might otherwise feel lonely and isolated. Volunteers play a vital role in everything they do: nearly 60,000 of them - both men and women - give up their time to help other people and to make life better in their communities. WRVS are looking for people interested in doing voluntary work and being a hospital volunteer.
