Malbec Petit Bistro were further officially recognised in 2008 by the revered Michelin Guide, when it was awarded the coveted Bib Gourmand status.

The Coventry and Warwickshire Food and Drink Awards are held annually and encourage and reward quality, excellence, and the innovative use of local produce in food and drink establishments across the county.

Not only restaurants are rewarded however as food retailers, local producers, chefs and service staff are also recognised by the awards.

The Winners and runners up for the 2009 awards were celebrated at a glittering awards event in September 2009.
