The construction of the footway/cycleway facility on the south side which includes the laying of tactile paving, concrete edgings, sub-base and binder course materials has now been completed. The installation of traffic signal and street lighting ducts and chambers have been completed also.

A444 (Nuneaton)

The installation of safety barriers in the verge has now been completed. The installation of traffic signal and street lighting ducts, chambers and sockets along this stretch have been completed also.

St Georges Way

The construction of the footway facility on the north side has been constructed up to surface course level. The construction of the shared-use facility on the south side has been constructed up to binder course level. All the street lighting columns along this stretch have now been installed.

Works to excavate existing concrete kerbs and replace with new has now completed.

The construction of the footway/cycleway facility which includes the laying of tactile paving, concrete edgings, sub-base and binder course materials will continue along this stretch.

A444 (M6-J3)

The slewing of existing Virgin Media ducts has been completed. The installation of traffic signal and street lighting ducts, chambers and sockets along this stretch have been completed also.

Works to excavate for carriageway widening on the near-side lane has been carried out. The widened strip to the eastbound carriageway has been constructed with capping and sub-base material. Works to lay new concrete kerbs along this stretch will continue.

Works to reinstate existing damaged carriageway with new construction has now been completed. Areas of existing carriageway to be planed out to allow for regulating and to match levels where new and existing pavements abut have been carried out.

Inner-island


Most of the works in the inner-island have now been completed. The two CCTV camera poles located north and west of the inner-island have now been installed.

The installation of traffic signal and street lighting ducts and chambers have been completed. The feeder pillar for street lighting has been installed. Some of the street lighting columns have been erected.

The new footway/cycleway facility has been constructed up to sub-base level. Most of the concrete edging kerbs have also been laid along this stretch.

Steady progress is being made to the works on the A444 (M6-J3) arm. The kerbs to widen the out-side lane of the carriageway have now been constructed. The widened strip to the central reserve has now been constructed with road base and binder course materials up to the existing carriageway level.

The widened strip on the verge from Griff Roundabout towards George Eliot Hospital Roundabout has now been constructed with road base and binder course materials up to the existing carriageway level.

Day Time

Inner-island


Steady progress is being made to the works in the inner-island. The installation of traffic signal and street lighting ducts and chambers have now been completed in the inner-island. Work to the new cycleway across the island is also progressing well with the binder course already laid and new street lighting columns erected.

Both the lay-bys on the east and the west side of the island have been constructed. All the chevron signs have been erected also.

St. Davids Way


Steady progress is also being made on St. Davids Way. The widened strip of the splitter island has now been constructed with road base and binder course materials up to the existing carriageway level. The installation of traffic signal and street lighting ducts, chambers and sockets have been completed on the splitter island also.

The existing bituminous material in the splitter island has been excavated and replaced with sub-soil and topsoil.

The widened strip located east of the bridge has now been constructed with road base and binder course materials up to the existing carriageway level.

All the kerbs on the central reserve, including kerbs for the bridge deck have now been constructed.

Inner-island


Steady progress is being made to the works in the inner-island. The installation of traffic signal and street lighting ducts and chambers have now been completed in the inner-island. The kerbs to widen the east-side of the inner-island have now been constructed.

The excavation work to install the ducts will also continue in the coned area on the gyratory.
