	Consultation Groups

	Within Warwickshire County Council we have developed certain groups to work together to ensure that consultations are as effectively as possible and that residents are not overloaded with consultations.

	Corporate Consultation Group We have a Corporate Consultation Group which has representatives from all departments who work together to look for opportunities for joint consultation. This reduces costs and duplication of effect and ensures that residents are not overloaded with consultations.

	Warwickshire Joint Consultation Group This group is made up of the five Warwickshire District and Borough Councils, Police and Primary Care Trusts who work together to look for opportunities for joint working and also share results of consultation.



	Consultation Officer's Group The council's Social Inclusion Statement of Intent states that "We will involve and consult with all sectors of the community (communities of interest as well as location) to make sure that all people have an equal chance of having their voice and views heard and of influencing their futures". Therefore, a group of specialist officers has been set up to advise staff who want to undertake consultation with particular groups of residents e.g. Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) groups, Older People groups.
