Striving to improve
We strive to improve services to those living with HIV in Warwickshire in a number of ways:
- Firstly and most importantly we work closely with and commission services from the Terrence Higgins Trust in conjunction with the local PCT. The services THT provide are covered in the page entitled 'Terrence Higgins Trust'.
- Implement an ongoing successful training programme for Social Care Staff, training over 100 staff per year to ensure high standards of non prejudiced service.
- Promote World AIDS Day which is also another opportunity for us to raise different issues around HIV with our staff in an endeavour to continually raise awareness to ensure high standards of service.
- Following an appropriate assessment, we provide direct services to those living with HIV via our Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and a variety of care staff.
- Are committed to a very HIV friendly internal policy, which clarifies our obligation on standards of service and the importance of strict confidentiality requirements
