Arts and Young PeopleCase Study:
Piccadilly Young People's Project

There are a number of services offered by Warwickshire County Council to assist, advise and aid artistic development and oppertunities for Young People in Warwickshire.

The villiage of Piccadilly is one of many North Warwickshire former
coal-mining communities. Remote and isolated, it is notable for its high
unemployment and lack of facilities for young people.
The Youth and Community Service aims to offer young people, mainly teenagers Somewhere to Go, Something to Do, Someone to Listen To
This is part of what is called the "Youth Offer"

The project aimed to enage the young people in visual and performing arts
taster workshops. A street dancer, graffiti artist and a visual artist all worked with the young people in order to develop thier basic skills in each of the areas and to create reccomendations for future projects
Arts Leading Learning
"Promoting educational arts partnerships for the enjoyment and achievement of Warwickshire children and young people"
